Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ‘Murata’) has launched the NXJ1T series of high-insulation compact DC-DC converters (hereinafter referred to as ‘this product’) for use in industrial, energy, and medical fields. This product features high insulation (4.2 kV DC insulation withstand voltage), low leakage current, and high reliability, making it suitable for industrial and energy fields that require operation in high-voltage environments, as well as medical fields with higher safety requirements. Samples are now available.

In recent years, performance requirements for equipment and their配套 systems have been continuously increasing across various industries. In the industrial and energy sectors, high-performance applications such as 800V electric vehicles (EVs) and their charging equipment, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and renewable energy infrastructure are becoming increasingly widespread. To ensure their stable operation, requirements for insulation performance in communication interfaces and sensor circuits have also risen accordingly. On the other hand, in the medical field, ensuring the safety of medical devices that come into direct contact with the human body is of critical importance. In this context, DC-DC converters with high insulation performance and reliability are essential to support the efficient and stable operation of electronic devices.

To better address these higher performance requirements, Murata has developed this product with high insulation performance (4.2kV DC insulation withstand voltage), low leakage current, and high reliability. Its high insulation withstand voltage helps enhance the overall reliability of the equipment, even in high-voltage environments. The low leakage current design supports stable operation of the equipment and is also suitable for applications with higher safety requirements, such as medical devices directly connected to the human body. Additionally, Murata has achieved superior thermal performance through proprietary packaging technology, enabling the product to withstand over 1,000 cycles of temperature testing from -40°C to 125°C. Furthermore, the NXJ1T series' packaging prevents dust and small particles from entering, protecting internal components and circuits to ensure higher reliability. As a result, it can address a wide range of applications from industrial and energy fields to medical fields. Additionally, while achieving a compact design (10.55mm x 13.70mm x 4.04mm), the product achieves approximately 80% high conversion efficiency, helping to further save device space and energy consumption.
