When developing autonomous driving applications, both the system and sensors need to meet the ISO 26262 standard. To meet such demands, Infineon Technologies, a global semiconductor leader in power systems and the Internet of Things, has launched the XENSIV™ TLE4960x magnetic sensor series.
This series of switches is strictly developed in accordance with the ISO 26262 standard, integrates diagnostic functions, and can support functional safety applications that meet the ASIL B-level requirements at the highest. It is the only switch product on the market that meets the ASIL B-level standard and can be widely used in various automotive applications, including window regulators, sunroof actuators, seat adjustment systems, etc. This series also meets the requirements of the EC-Q100 standard and Grade 0 certification, and can ensure reliable performance even in harsh environments.
The TLE4960x is specifically designed for measuring the Z-direction magnetic field perpendicular to the printed circuit board and features an open-drain output that can provide speed information. This series also integrates overcurrent and over-temperature protection functions, and adopts the standard SOT23-3 SMD package. The operating current is only 1.6mA, and the operating temperature range is from -40°C to 175°C. It has become an ideal choice for harsh automotive environments with its excellent temperature stability.
