Littelfuse Corporation (NASDAQ: LFUS) has launched the Nano2 415 SMD series of fuses. This product is Littelfuse's first surface mount fuse, with A rated breaking current of 1500 A at 277 V. The 415 series is designed to provide true buffering for 250V applications with unpredictable voltage fluctuations. The compact SMD package offers excellent fault current protection and is an ideal choice for space-constrained applications.
This new type of fuse is our first one with A high rated breaking current of 1500 A at 277 V, providing electronic designers who use traditional through-hole solutions with the option to switch to SMD components. Daniel Wang, senior director of Product management for overcurrent passive components at Littelfuse, said, "In this way, they can achieve full automation of the assembly process, thereby improving production efficiency and reducing manufacturing costs."
