The DAC80508ZRTER is a member of the low-power eight-channel buffered voltage output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) pin-compatible series, featuring 16-bit resolution. The DAC80508ZRTER features an internal base voltage standard of 2.5V (5ppm/°C), eliminating the need for external precise references in most applications. The user-selectable gain configuration provides full-scale output voltages of 1.25V (gain = ½), 2.5V (gain = 1), or 5V (gain = 2). This device is powered by a single 2.7V to 5.5V power supply, has monotonicity, and can provide a high linearity of ±1 LSB INL.
The DAC80508ZRTER communicates via a serial interface with an operating clock rate up to 50MHz. The VIO pin enables the serial interface to operate within the range of 1.7V to 5.5V. The DAC80508ZRTER flexible interface supports the use of a wide range of industry-standard microprocessors and microcontrollers.
The DAC80508ZRTER adopts a power-on reset circuit to enable power-on and keep the DAC output at zero or intermediate level until a valid code is written into the device. This device consumes a current as low as 0.6mA/ channel (5.5V), and thus is suitable for battery-powered devices. Reduce the device current consumption to 15µA by the channel power-off function.
