ADF4355-2BCPZ is an integrated VCO microwave broadband synthesizer produced by Analog Devices (ADI), ideal for wireless infrastructure, point-to-point/point-to-multipoint microwave links, satellite /VSAT, test equipment/instruments and clock generation applications.
Overview
The ADF4355-2BCPZ is an integrated VCO broadband frequency synthesizer with a fundamental output frequency range of 3400 MHz to 6800 MHz. In addition, VCO frequencies can be divided 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64, so users can generate RF output frequencies as low as 54 MHz. For applications that require isolation, the RF output stage can be muted. The mute function can be controlled either by pins or software.
The ADF4355-2BCPZ, when used in combination with an external loop filter and an external reference frequency, enables a fractional N division or integer N division phase locked loop (PLL) frequency synthesizer. A range of dividers are available for operating frequencies from 54 MHz to 4400 MHz.
All on-chip registers are controlled through a simple three-wire interface. The ADF4355-2BCPZ operates with analog and digital power supplies from 3.15 V to 3.45 V, with charge pumps from 4.75 V to 5.25 V and VCO power supplies. In addition, the ADF4355-2BCPZ also has built-in hardware and software power-saving modes.
