The TPS53831RWZR is a D-CAP+™ mode integrated buck converter for DDR5 on-DIMM power supplies. The converter has a configurable current range to provide VDD, VDDQ, and VPP voltages for DRAM chips on DIMM modules. The high current rail can be configured as 2-phase or 2 outputs to provide up to 12A (or 6A + 6A) and is controlled in D-CAP+™ mode. The converter also features internal compensation for ease of use and reduced external components.

The converter offers a full suite of telemetry functions including input voltage, output voltage and output current. Overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent limit, and thermal protection are also provided.

The TPS53831RWZR is available in a thermally enhanced 35-pin QFN package and operates over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range.

3 outputs supporting VDD (1.1V), VDDQ (1.1V), and VPP (1.8V) with an optional 4th output (VDD2)

For 3 outputs, VDD (SWA duplex) is 12A, VDDQ (SWC) is 6A, VPP (SWD) is 5A with 3 outputs

For 4 outputs, VDD1(SWA) is 6A, VDD2(SWB) is 6A, VDDQ(SWC) is 6A, VPP(SWD) is 5A

Wide input voltage: 4.5 V to 15 V

Programmable internal loop compensation

Cycle-by-cycle current limiting per phase
