1, Description

The DRV3245SQPHPRQ1 gate driver unit (GDU) is a FET gate driver IC for three-phase motor drive applications, designed in accordance with the relevant requirements of ISO 26262 for functional safety applications. The device features three half-bridge drivers, each capable of driving both high-side and low-side N-channel MOSFETs, while also providing advanced FET protection and monitoring. The charge pump driver achieves 100% duty cycle to support low battery voltages during cold start operation. The integration of a current sense amplifier, coupled with an integrated phase comparator, SPI-based configuration of the drivers and their peripherals not only reduces bill-of-materials (BOM) costs, but also saves printed circuit board (PCB) space by eliminating most external and passive components.
