The LTC5555IUFD is a programmable gain down-conversion mixer from 1.5GHz to 7GHz for receivers with precise gain setting . The LTC5555IUFD contains an active mixer and a digital IF VGA with a gain control range of 15.5dB. The IF gain can be programmed in steps of 0.5dB via SPI or parallel interface.
The device has an enable pin for quick on-off and off-off. In addition, the LTC5555IUFD offers a power reduction mode.
The integrated RF transformer provides a single ended 50Ω input. Differential LO inputs are designed for single-ended or differential drives. The differential IF output simplifies the interface to the differential IF filter and amplifier. The LTC5555IUFD mixer is optimized for the 3GHz to 7GHz RF frequency range, but can be used at frequencies as low as 1.5GHz (with reduced performance).
