Product Description:

The LT3073 is a low-voltage, ultra-low noise, ultra-fast transient response linear regulator. The device delivers up to 3A current with a typical pressure difference of 45mV. The 4.7μF reference bypass capacitor reduces output voltage noise to 1.2μVRMS. With broadband width and high PSRR, it can use small ceramic capacitors, thus saving volume capacitance and cost. The LT3073 is ideal for powering high-performance FPgas, data converters, RF and noise sensitive signal chain applications.


Output voltages are digitally selectable in 50mV increments from 0.5V to 1.2V, digitally selectable in 100mV increments from 1.2V to 1.8V, and digitally selectable in discrete level ranges from 2V, 2.5V, 3V, 3.3V and 4.2V. The unit-gain operation of the LT3073 provides nearly constant output noise, PSRR, bandwidth, and load regulation, independent of the programmed output voltage. In addition, the LT3073 integrates a tracking function (VIOC) to control the upstream switching regulator in order to maintain a constant voltage at both ends of the LT3073 and minimize power consumption.

Output tolerance: ±1.5% line, load and temperature

Precision current monitor: 3A accuracy is ±3%

Programmable current limit: ±3% at 3A

Input range: 0.6V to 5.5V

Digital output margin: ±2.5%

Stable operation using ceramic output capacitors (minimum 10μF)

Multiple devices in parallel, suitable for high currents

VIOC pins used to control upstream switching converters

Precision Enable/Undervoltage Lock (UVLO)

Power supply Normal (PG) mark

Temperature monitor

22 pin (3mm x 4mm) LQFN package
