The ADRF6850BCPZ is a highly integrated wideband quadrature demodulator, frequency synthesizer and variable gain amplifier (VGA) for the 100 MHz to 1000 MHz frequency range . It is introduced by Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) and is particularly suitable for applications such as broadband communications, cellular base stations, satellite communications, point-to-point radio, and defense systems .
The ADRF6850 demodulator includes a high-modulus fractional N-fraction frequency synthesizer with integrated VCO with a frequency resolution of better than 1 Hz, and the front-end VGA provides a gain control range of 60 dB.
All on-chip registers are controlled via user-selectable SPI or I2C interfaces. The device is powered by a single supply from 3.15 V to 3.45 V.
