Product Overview:

The LTC7150SJY-4 is a high-efficiency, monolithic, synchronous step-down regulator capable of delivering 20A to a load. The device adopts a phase-locked controlled on-time constant frequency and current mode architecture. PolyPhase operation allows multiple LTC7150S regulators to operate out of phase, which reduces the number of input and output capacitors required. The operating supply voltage ranges from 3.1V to 20V.

The operating frequency of the device can be set in the range of 400kHz to 3MHz using an external resistor. The high frequency operation capability allows the use of inductors and capacitors of smaller physical dimensions. For applications that are sensitive to switching noise, the LTC7150S synchronizes externally from 400kHz to 3MHz. The PHMODE pin allows the user to control the phase of the output clock signal. The unique constant frequency/controlled turn-on time architecture is ideal for high buck ratio applications that operate at high frequencies while requiring fast transient responses. The LTC7150S uses the second generation Silent Switcher technology with a built-in integrated bypass capacitor to provide a highly efficient solution with superior EMI performance at high frequencies.
