Overview:

The AD9203 is a single-chip, 10-bit, 40-msps analog-to-digital converter (ADC) powered by a single supply with a built-in on-chip voltage reference source. It uses a multistage differential pipeline architecture with a data rate of up to 40 MSPS, ensuring no code loss over the entire operating temperature range. The input range can be adjusted from 1 V p-p to 2 V p-p.


The ADC has an on-chip programmable voltage reference source. An external reference voltage source can also be selected to meet the DC accuracy and temperature drift requirements of the application. When operating at a lower sampling rate, an external resistor can be used to reduce power consumption.


Use a single clock input to control all internal conversion cycles. The digital output data format is standard binary or binary complement. An over-the-range (OTR) signal indicates an overflow condition, which can be determined by the most significant bit whether it is an underflow or an upflow. Powered by a 2.7V to 3.6V supply, the AD9203 is ideal for low-power operation in high-speed portable applications.
