XCZU48DR-2FSVG1517E is Xilinx's new generation Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC device, which can be used in LTE, 5G, SDR, satellite communication and other wireless platforms.


The Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC family integrates key subsystems of multi-band, multi-mode cellular radio and Cable infrastructure (DOCSIS) into the SoC platform, The platform includes a feature-rich 64-bit quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 and a dual-core processing system based on Arm Cortex-R5F.


Combining the processing system with UltraScale architecture programmable logic, RF-ADC, RF-DAC, and soft decision FECs, the Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC family enables a complete software-defined radio (SDR), including direct RF sampling data converters. Implement CPRI and Gigabit Ethernet to RF on a single, highly programmable SoC.


Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC integrates up to 16 channels of RF-ADC and RF-DAC, all with excellent noise spectral density. RF data converters also include power-efficient digital down converters (DDC) and digital up converters (DUC), which include programmable interpolation and extraction, NCO and complex mixers. DDC and DUC also support dual-frequency operation.


Soft Decision FEC (SD-FEC) is a highly flexible forward error correction engine capable of running in Turbo decoding mode for wireless applications such as LTE and LDPC encoding/decoding modes used in 5G wireless, backhaul and DOCSIS 3.1 cable modems.
