The TCAN3413DR 3.3V CAN FD Transceiver is a Controller Area Network (CAN) FD transceiver that meets the physical layer requirements of the ISO 11898-2:2016 High Speed CAN specification.

Overview:

The TCAN3413DR 3.3V CAN FD transceiver is a Controller Local Area network (CAN) FD transceiver that meets the physical layer requirements of the ISO 11898-2:2016 High Speed CAN specification.


This device is certified for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and is suitable for traditional CAN and CAN FD networks with data rates up to 5 megabits per second (Mbps). In simpler networks, these devices can achieve operating speeds of up to 8Mbps. The TCAN3413 includes internal logic level conversion via VIO pins. The device allows transceiver I/O to be directly connected to 1.8V, 2.5V, or 3.3V logic levels. This series of transceivers supports low-power standby mode and CAN be awakened by a CAN that complies with the wake-up mode (WUP) defined in ISO 11898-2:2016.


The transceiver supports thermal shutdown (TSD), TXD Dominant timeout (DTO), power undervoltage detection, and ±58V bus fault protection.

3.3V single-power operation eliminates the need for a 5V regulator, saving BOM costs and reducing PCB space

Excellent electromagnetic compatibility in both homogeneous and heterogeneous networks

Meets the requirements of ISO 11898-2:2016 Physical layer standard

Supports both traditional CAN and optimized CAN FD performance (rates of 2Mbps, 5Mbps, and 8Mbps) with short symmetric propagation delay times for increased timing margin

TCAN3413 I/O voltage range: 1.7V to 3.6V

Receiver common-mode input voltage: ±30V

Protective characteristic

Bus fault protection: ±58V

IEC ESD protection is provided on the bus pin: ±10kV

The 8-pin SOIC, small-size SOT-23 and leadless VSON-8 packages enhance automatic optical inspection (AOI) capabilities
