Overview 

The SX05-0B00-00 expander is the second series of high-performance 12Gb/s SAS expanders with a new power-optimised design that provides optimal power utilisation and the latest enhancements to SAS technology. 36-, 28- and 24-port expanders have a smaller footprint and are equipped with an integrated ARM Cortex-R4 processor for system initialisation, LED management, chassis management and topology management functions as found. the SX05-0B00-00 expander supports end-device SAS data transfer rates of 12, 6 and 3Gb/s, and SATA data transfer rates of 6 and 3Gb/s.

Representing the eighth generation of SAS expanders, the SAS35xR series adds an enhanced set of power management features, including the ability to create vendor-specific SMP or SES commands. Firmware features include
