Product Description

The Marvell® 88Q6113 and 88Q5072 are the first generation of high port count automotive Ethernet switches with 11-port Ethernet Gigabit capacity. It is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3 automotive standards, providing high performance and low power consumption.

The 88Q5072 offers seven integrated IEEE 100BASE-T1 PHYs, six of which are fixed as 100BASE-T1 ports. The 7th port can be configured as 1 IEEE 100BASE-TX PHY, 2 multi-speed SerDes (1/2.5/5 Gbps) or SGMII ports, 1 RGMII or MII/RMII/GMII, 1 PCIe or SerDes. It also provides local and remote management capabilities for easy access and configuration of the device.

This 88Q5072 includes a high performance ARM® Cortex M7 CPU with dedicated on-chip memory to support AVB protocols such as Precision Time Protocol (PTP) and a security firewall to protect against external malicious attacks. It uses an advanced routing engine to support the routing of gigabit packets without CPU intervention. It provides the highest level of security through Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) technology, Denial of Service (DoS) engine and Trusted Start feature to secure the vehicle network.
