London, United Kingdom – 10 March 2022 - The Global Mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) announced today that 140 operators have deployed NB-IoT networks in 64 countries. Additionally, the association's research counted 744 Cat M1, Cat NB1 (NB-IoT) or Cat NB2 enabled devices, 44% more than the GAMBoD database at the end of April 2021. The "NB-IoT and LTE-M Digest February 2022 - Global Ecosystem" report not only highlights the steady growth of NB-IoT networks over the past year, but also shows strong interest in NB-IoT networks , 166 operators were identified as investments.

The association also counted 74 operators actively investing in LTE technology, of which: 55 have deployed or commercially launched LTE-M networks. This latest GSA report also includes an update on NB-IoT devices, showing that 744 devices now support Cat M1, CAT NB1 (NB-IoT) or Cat NB2, an increase from the GAMBoD database at the end of April 2021 44%. Of these, the association counted 479 devices supporting Cat NB1 (including known variants), up from 362 in nine months. Regarding Cat NB2, the GSA has identified 116 device models that support it, up from 71 models nine months ago.
