The 88E1340-A0-BAM2C000 device is Marvell's 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet PHY(Physical layer) chip.

The 88E1340 integrates terminal resistors and capacitors with MDI interfaces into the PHY. By reducing the number of external components, simplifying the board layout and reducing the cost of the board, the new Marvell® calibrated resistor program will meet and exceed the accuracy requirements of the IEEE 802.3 return loss specification.

Support 10/100/1000 QSGMII(quad-serial Gigabit Media Independent interface) interface.

QSGMII interface for directly connecting MAC chips or SWITCH chips.

The QSGMII interface combines four SGMII interfaces with a rate of 1.25Gbps into a differential signal with a rate of 5Gbps.

The QSGMII interface reduces the number of pins connected to the MAC interface and reduces the overall power consumption.

The QSGMII MAC interface can be used as a copper axis network cable (electrical port) or optical fiber (optical port).

The 88E1340S/88E1340 also supports SGMII interfaces. It is used to connect an SGMII interface to an electrical interface on a MAC interface.
