The 88E1780-A0-LKJ2C000 device supports IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) and is compliant with the IEEE 802.3az standard. The device has integrated MDI interface termination resistors and capacitors in the PHY. This resistor integration simplifies board layout and reduces board cost by reducing the number of external components. The new Marvell calibration resistor solution will meet and exceed the accuracy requirements of the IEEE 802.3 return loss specification.

The 88E1780-A0-LKJ2C000 device consumes ultra-low power. This reduces overall system cost by eliminating heat sinks and reducing airflow requirements.

The device supports Auto-MDI/MDIX at all three speeds, making installation easier and reducing installation costs.

The device also supports the integrated Advanced Virtual Cable Tester® (VCT™), enabling fault detection and advanced cable performance monitoring.
