The ATMXT2912TG-ABRVAO is a maXTouch 2840-node touchscreen controller in an LQFP-176 package with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.

The ATMXT2912TG-A uses a unique charge transfer acquisition engine to implement Microchip's patented capacitance detection method. Coupled with a state-of-the-art CPU, the entire touchscreen sensing solution can measure, classify, and track multiple finger touches with high precision in minimal response time. The controller supports mutual capacitance and self-capacitance measurements, which are used to enhance mutual capacitance measurements to produce reliable touch information.

The mXT2912TG-A touch controller works seamlessly with the MXG3141 3D gesture device to provide 2D (2D) gestures on the touch screen surface and 3D (3D) gestures in the space above the touch screen. Once surface touch is detected, full multiplexing allows the entire system to process both 3D gestures and 2D touch gestures from approaching hands.
