Product Description

The MFS2301BMMA0EP System Base Chip (SBC) offers high flexibility for S32K processor-based applications and multi-vendor processors. The FS23 SBC is a system value-added product with a high level of integration that optimizes Bill of Material (BOM) costs in the body and comfort markets. The FS32 SBC includes both CAN and LIN transceivers as well as many system features commonly found in the latest generation of automotive electronic control units (ECUs).

Power Management:

• Tree-shaped power rails for powering microcontrollers and sensors

• Scalable series solutions from 100 mA to a minimum of 400 mA with pin-to-pin compatibility

• Configurable voltage and power-on/power-off sequence

• 3 power modes (Run, low power on and low power off) to manage low system static current and faster wake up function

System Solution:

CAN transceivers and LIN transceivers with flexible data rate (FD) up to 5 Mbit/s

• High-end drives with loop sensing or wake sources

• Analog multiplexer for system inspection

• Long duration timer with independent counters up to 194 days

• External voltage monitoring on the board

• Configurable GPIO(high and low pressure)

• Wake-up source

• Advanced "limping home" function

Functional safety:

• Scalable safety concept (QM and ASIL B compliant, ISO 26262 compliant design and process)

• Support fail-safe features, including advanced watchdog

• Implement ABIST on demand to monitor potential failures

Includes MCU hardware monitoring independent of FCCU to handle multiple types of applications

Configuration and support:

• QFN48 pins with bare pads optimize heat management

Permanent device customization via one-time programming (OTP) fuse memory

• Temporary OTP simulation mode for system development and evaluation
