The XC3S400A-4FTG256I Spartan®-3AN FPGA family combines the best features of a leading low-cost FPGA with non-volatile technology in a wide range of densities. The family combines all the features of the Spartan-3A FPGA family with leading technology in system flash for configuration and non-volatile data storage.

The Spartan-3AN FPGAs are part of the expanded Spartan-3A family, which also includes the Spartan3A FPGAs and the higher density Spartan3A DSP FPGAs. The combination of FPGA and Flash technology minimizes chip count, PCB traces and overall size, while increasing system reliability.

The internal configuration interface of the Spartan-3AN FPGA is completely independent, increasing design security.
