The SC2150ACFFR SC2150A is a PD PHY chip that complies with the latest Type-C and PD 3.0 standards. It is mainly used in smartphones, tablets and other fast charging device applications. The SC2150A integrates the USB PD physical layer and consists of a transmitter and receiver which transmit BMC encoded data via a CC channel based on the PD 3.0 standard. The SC2150A can be configured as DFP, UFP and DRP depending on the application. it supports current mode posting and detection, cable direction detection, active cable detection and VCONN via the CC pin. an external microcontroller acts as a USB Type-C port manager (TCPM) and communicates with the SC2150A via the I2C interface. The SC2150A supports a wide range of VBUS and has low power consumption. It is available in a 1.235mm x 1.235mm 9-ball WLCPS package.
