The STGSH50M120D device combines two IGBTs and diodes in a half-bridge topology, mounted in a very compact, robust, and easily surface-mounted package. Both the on-off and switching losses of the device are optimized for hard switching reversals, where short-circuit durability is an essential feature. Each switch contains a continuation diode with a low voltage drop forward voltage. The result is a product that has been specifically designed to maximize the efficiency and power density of industrial drives.
