The M56-R is a new dual-band LGA packaged GSM/GPRS module from MobileTech, using the new RDA8955L mainstream platform and measuring only 19.0mm × 19.0mm × 2.45mm to meet the demand for smaller communication modules for end products. The M56-R pin-to-pin is compatible with the Mobile Telecom GSM/GPRS module M56 and is available at a competitive price.

The M56-R is available in an easy-to-solder LGA package and can be manufactured quickly using standard SMT equipment, providing customers with a highly reliable connection method that is particularly suited to automated, large scale, low cost modern production methods. In addition, the M56-R supports cameras with up to 300,000 pixels, 1D and common QR codes, and LCD displays with a maximum resolution of 240 x 320, making it particularly suitable for payment scanning applications.

With its feature-rich interface, compact size, ultra-low power consumption and wide operating temperature range, the M56-R extends its range of applications in the M2M sector, such as in-vehicle, industrial PDA, personal or property tracking, wireless low-cost POS, smart metering, etc., providing complete SMS, voice and data transmission services.
