(SX08-0B00-02) The SAS4x32 extender has the most SAS ports in Broadcom's new SAS4xNN pin-compatible SAS/SATA family of SAS-4 extenders and doubles the bandwidth of previous generations without sacrificing energy efficiency. The 24G SAS interface supports 6G, 12G, 24G SAS and 6Gb/s SATA devices and data transfer rates.

SAS4x32 supports PHY and T-10 partitions across 255 zones, arbitrary port mirroring, spread spectrum clock, and enhanced multi-purpose GPIO architecture. The DataBolt2 bandwidth optimizer (up to 40 ports) supports bidirectional data buffing at the SAS-4 data rate to end devices running at 6Gb/s or 12Gb/s, and features a new design to further reduce latency and improve performance, even in hybrid controller topologies.

The 4x32 extender is powered by the industry-leading SAS-4 Software Development Kit (SDK), a full-featured tool designed to efficiently adapt OEM-specific firmware implementations, or be used as provided.
