The Broadcom® BCM5871X (including the BCM58711, BCM58712, and BCM58713) processor family consists of devices for switching control and management and residential router/gateway applications.

At the center of each device is a high-performance 1.1/2 GHz ARM Cortex-A57 dual-core/quad-core with 48 KB quad-set association instruction cache, 32 KB quad-set association data cache, and 1024 item conversion back-up buffer (TLB). The enhanced CPU memory subsystem architecture provides higher system performance.

Each device has a network acceleration engine called BroadSync® HD. The network acceleration engine performs L2/L3/L4 packet classification, traffic quality of service (QoS) allocation, and DMA.
