The MC20 module is based on MediaTek's latest multi-functional communication and positioning chip. The MC20 is a full-featured communication module with an LCC package, quad-band GSM/GPRS and an advanced algorithm GNSS engine in an ultra-small size, low power consumption and dual SIM card standby. The MC20 is equipped with GSM/GPRS wireless communication.

In addition to GSM/GPRS wireless communication, the MC20 module also supports advanced GNSS technology. It integrates technologies such as EPOTM (EPO data directly from the MTK server without the user having to set up their own server) and second fixes, enabling fast first-time positioning. With support for demodulation algorithms for multiple satellite systems such as BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS and QZSS, it offers more accurate positioning and is more resistant to multi-path interference than traditional GPS modules. In addition, the MC20 module has a built-in LNA and low-power algorithm: the former increases its reception sensitivity to -149dBm; the latter allows it to consume only 40% of the current in GLP Mode.

The MC20 module is 40% smaller than conventional GSM+GNSS solutions, giving it an even greater advantage in a wide range of applications. The main areas of application are: wearable devices (smart watches), pet tracking, property tracking and car recorders.
