The BCM111XX series combines proven PhonexChange voice, video, and multimedia firmware optimized for Broadcom's IP communications chips to provide a low-cost, energy-efficient system-on-chip. The chip integrates a Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mb/s) switch with enhanced packet filtering, quality of service, virtual LAN, security and denial of service (DoS) attack protection, and two Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mb/s) transceivers. Allows the development of fast Ethernet or gigabit ip telephony products without the additional cost of an external transceiver.
