The MT25TL01GHBB8E12-0AAT is a high performance, multi-input/output, serial NOR Flash device. It features a high-speed SPI-compatible bus interface, execute-in-place (XIP) capability, advanced write-protection mechanisms, and extended address access. In this new version, high-performance dual and quad input/output instructions double or quadruple the transfer bandwidth for read and programming operations.

The device contains two quad I/O chips, each capable of independent operation, for a total of eight I/O. Memory mapping applies to each chip. Each chip has internal registers for storage, configuration, and device protection that can be set and read independently. Micron recommends that the internal configuration settings be identical for both chips.
