The EC20 is a recently launched LTE module from MobileTech that uses LTE 3GPP Rel.9 technology to support downlink rates of 100Mbps and uplink rates of 50Mbps, while being compatible with MobileTech's UMTS/HSPA+ UC20 modules in a package that enables an easy and smooth transition from 3G to 4G networks. EC20-C and EC20-E, making them backwards compatible with existing EDGE and GSM/GPRS networks to ensure that they work in remote areas where 3G and 4G networks are not available.

The EC20 supports Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology, where multiple transmit and receive antennas are used at the transmitter and receiver ends respectively, allowing signals to be transmitted and received through multiple antennas at the transmitter and receiver ends, thus reducing BER and improving communication quality. At the same time, it combines high-speed wireless connectivity with a built-in multi-constellation high-precision positioning GPS+GLONASS receiver.

The EC20's rich built-in network protocols, integrated multiple industry standard interfaces, multiple operating systems and software features (Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8/8.1/Linux/Android) greatly expand the EC20's range of applications in the M2M field, such as CPE, routers, data cards, tablets, in-car, security and industrial grade PDAs.
