FPGAs are semiconductor devices based on a matrix of configurable logic blocks (CLBs) connected via a programmable interconnect system. kintex UltraScale FPGAs can be used for packet processing in 100G networks and data centre applications. They are also ideally suited for the DSP-intensive processing required for next-generation medical imaging, 8k4k video and heterogeneous wireless infrastructures. Kintex UltraScale FPGAs are optimised for 20nm system performance and integration, using single-chip and next-generation stacked silicon interconnect (SSI) technology.
